Bills of materials
Bills of materials are managed from product cards, not from a separate Manufacturing BOM screen. Use the product Recipe tab for components and lot-age constraints, and the Production tab for operation costs and resources.
What a BOM contains
Section titled “What a BOM contains”| Part | Purpose |

| Components | Required item variants and positive quantities per recipe basis. A component may configure active variants from the same item family as replacements, each with its own positive quantity in that variant’s unit. The Recipe tab shows each component’s current estimated cost contribution per finished output unit. A product cannot include itself as a component. |
| Constraints | Lot strategy and minimum lot-age requirements in positive whole days. |
| Operation costs | Resources, crew, minutes, and rate inputs for cost rollup. The Recipe summary combines the current saved operation estimate with live draft ingredient costs. |
